Eastern Aral Sea region. It's hard to believe that dozens of fortress cities once stood here. Many secrets of the ancient Jetyasar civilization have been revealed due to the fact that the Baikonur cosmodrome is located 50 km from this place. A large-scale project of Soviet cosmonautics to create a reusable spacecraft opened a forgotten ancient culture to the world. Nowadays, the construction of the Vostochny cosmodrome in the Amur Region is paving new paths to the most remote areas of Yakutia, promising to significantly improve the lives of the local population in the future.
During the launch of a space rocket, the first-stage engines run for about two minutes.
During this time, the rocket, heading for orbit, deviates from the launch point by hundreds of kilometers.
The team of specialists of the first area of the fall is located 300 km from the launch pad, the spent stages fall here.
In the second area, the head fairing falls, which is fired when the rocket exits the atmosphere.
The third area will be the place of the fall of the second stage, it is already 1500-2000 km from the start.
In each area, a helicopter is sent to the crash site, it indicates the point where disposal teams need to arrive in order to take out every last screw and reclaim the land.
During the construction of the Vostochny cosmodrome, it was decided to equip the fall areas on the territory of Yakutia, however, experts faced protests from local residents due to fear that technological debris falling from the sky could damage nature and human health.
It took time and close interaction with environmentalists for people to be convinced of the safety of the cosmodrome and began to believe that with a new stage of development, the life of the region will really change for the better.
