The main event of the outgoing year for Roscosmos was the launch of a new heavy rocket Angara-5 from the Plesetsk military cosmodrome.
So far, all launches of the new rocket are only test launches.
To test and thoroughly test all systems, it takes several more years, then serial production will begin and the Angara will become Russia's main space transport for military purposes, for the national economy, and for science.
Yuri Makarov and Yuri Bakhvalov tell the story.
