The Russian meteogroup of satellites will be replenished by the new Electro-L spacecraft, created at the Lavochkin NGO. The joint project of Roscosmos and Roshydromet will help scientists understand what is happening with the climate on the planet.
It is planned that the new satellite will work in space for 10 years, in total, the climate control grouping of the Electro series will amount to 5 devices by 2020.
