Annotation:
The film shows the complexity and drama of life of indigenous peoples of Siberia – the Khanty, Mansi, Nenets – in touch with the world of “white people”. Violence, unwillingness to reckon with the peculiarities of the centuries-old culture, way of life, peculiarities of psychology distinguished Soviet officials when dealing with small nationalities of the far North. The film involved Lev Gumilev.
