About the First International Festival of African Art in the city of Dakar in the spring of 1966.

Men play on the national instruments - there-tamah. Men and women dance. Senegal, Dakar. The First World Festival of African Art. Landscapes of the ocean. Flags of participating countries. Aerodrome are guests. City views. Along the street are residents, members of the Assembly. Passing cars, buses. Inauguration of the festival. The participants in the hall. Speaker Senegal's President LS Senghor. During the festival, live music, artists, dance and musical groups from Burundi, Chad, Niger, Togo, USA, Senegal, the United Arab Republic, the Antilles, Brazil, the Ivory Coast. Participants play musical instruments, sing, dance, ballet and give dramatic presentations. City of Dakar. Cathedral. In the cathedral choir sings, sitting listening. Residents and visitors go to the parade in honor of Independence Day celebrations. Passes infantry, cavalry, demonstrators with placards. The people dancing in the streets, squares, on the ocean. Sports on the cake. The people welcomed the winners. Landscape with palm trees. President LS Senghor talks with Soviet poet Evtushenko and E. Dolmatovsky. Stands with wood-carved masks. Figurines and sculptures. On the outskirts of Dakar built "village of the arts. The workshops run by human beings. The people dancing in the streets of festively decorated town.
